Update on Influenza A (H1N1) (“Swine flu) – (06th July 2009, 18:00)
As of 06th July 2009, 126 countries have officially reported 94,512 cases of influenza A (H1N1) infection, including 429 deaths (case fatality rate: 0.5%). Countries with more than 100 cases are: USA (33,902), Mexico (10,262), Canada (7983), UK (7447), Chile (7376), Australia (5,298), Argentina (2485) , Thailand (2076), China (2040), Japan (1790), Philippines (1709), New Zealand(1059), Singapore (1055), Peru (916), Spain (776), Brazil (737), Israel (681), Germany (505), Panama(417), Bolivia (416), Nicaragua (321), El Salvador (319), France (310), Guatemala (286), Costa Rica (277), Venezuela (206), Ecuador (204), Korea (202), Uruguay (195), Viet Nam (181), Greece(151), Italy(146), Netherlands (135), India (129), Brunei Darussalam (124), Honduras (123), Colombia (118),Malaysia (112), Cyprus(109) Dominican Republic (108) and Paraguay (106). Cook Islands, Croatia, France (Guadeloupe, FOC &Saint Martin, FOC), Guyana, Libya, Macedonia, Syria, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands have reported their first cases today.
